Favorite Quotes:
“Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in
nature nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is
no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring
adventure or nothing.” (Helen Keller)
"This is the true joy in life, being used for a purpose
recognized by yourself as a mighty one; being a force of nature instead of a
feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the
world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my
life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to
do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the
harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no
"brief candle" to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got
hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible
before handing it on to future generations."
“Do not let the principles presented in this book be simply
information - useless without your commitment to applying them in your own life.
What are the possibilities for your life? What will you do to make the most of
them? What is next for you?” (George Bernard Shaw)
“Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our
deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not
darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, "Who am I to be
brilliant, or fabulously talented?" Actually, how dare you not? You are a
being of brilliance. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children
do. We were born to manifest the wonderment of the gift that is within us. It’s
not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. And as we let our light shine, we
unconsciously give other people the permission to do the same. As we are
liberated from our fear, our presence liberates others.”
(Marianne Williamson quoting Nelson Mandela)

Joe Rubino - Man of
Distinction
By GERY CARSON
It’s been quite a ride for Dr. Joe Rubino of late. In 1995,
Joe was featured on the cover of prestigious SUCCESS Magazine and in its Cover
Story, "We Create Millionaires How Network Marketing’s Entrepreneurial
Elite Are Building Fortunes at Breakneck Speed.” His new book, "Secrets
of Building a Million-Dollar Network Marketing Organization” is selling
rapidly and he was recently named “1998 Man of Distinction in Network
Marketing" by the International Network Marketing Directory.
Not long ago, however, network marketing wasn’t even a blip
on Joe Rubino’s radar screen. In fact, he’d already found success in the
dental practice he started in 1981. But in the early ‘90’s he came across an
ad for Oxyfresh Worldwide, a network marketing company, in a dental magazine and
decided to find out more. “As I learned more and more about the potential of
network marketing to impact peoples lives, I decided that I could make more of a
difference by changing careers.”
In 1991 he formed Visionary International Partnerships with
his business partner, Dr. Tom Ventullo. Visionary International Partnerships was
profitable almost immediately. Implementing Oxyfresh’s products into their
practice both supported their patient’s health and added $4,000 plus monthly
to their bottom line.
But Joe and Tom didn’t stop there; they also became serious
about building a network of other Oxyfresh distributors, eventually creating
another income stream that increased from a few hundred dollars monthly to equal
and then exceed their entire dental practice income. Soon thereafter, the dental
world lost one of their own as Joe retired from practice in 1994. Dentistry’s
loss, however, was network marketing’s gain.
“Through network marketing, I can best honor my values by
developing new and innovative programs and approaches to impact peoples’
success and therefore their lives.” Joe admits that his attitude was shaped by
some very supportive people. “Mike Smith and Carol McCall are my mentors and
the ones I credit for inspiring me to take on the lifelong process of personal
development, encouraging me to pursue my values while helping me see that I
could have a major impact on peoples’ lives.
“Mike, Carol, and Richard Brooke, CEO of Oxyfresh Worldwide,
all inspired me to see that I was playing small in my profession as a dentist.
They supported me in clearly identifying my values and gifts while developing a
vision to design my life as one with no regrets, playing full out.”
