Stay at home job scams are nothing new, but now con artists who touted scams in the National Enquirer or the Globe, are on line and preying on people more than ever. They use computers to reach potential victims. They can sit at their keyboard and reach hundreds of thousands of people, for next to nothing.
Legitimate stay at home job offers can be found on line in classified advertising, Email, in free for all ads, or on search engines. However, these are fertile breeding grounds for fraudulent offers, scams and rip offs. No matter where you find an opportunity online, you are likely to find some false and mis-leading claims. For example, many ads promote get rich quick schemes, traditional pyramid schemes, or the basic chain letter.
Although it may be difficult to find a gold nugget in a pan full of gravel, but it isn't impossible. Listen to your inner voice. If it tells you that something doesn't look right, it probably isn't. It isn't that difficult to determine if a program is on the level or a scam. Is the stay at home job opportunity you are looking at legitimate? Check to see if it meets these criteria:
1. It is confirmed by an international organization such as The Better Business Bureau (BBB) or the Chamber of Commerce
2. It is free to join!
3. Provides free support.
4. Provides free training courses for new members.
5. Offers effective tools and resources for new members.
6. Pays high commissions and the commission plan is easy to understand.
7. Pays commissions on a regular schedule.
8. Provides automatic marketing tools.
9. Tracks all sales and provides a record of them.
10. Offers a wide variety of products to sell.
11. Provides a large number of banners and text ads for each product.
12. Provides effective and easy to use tools for contacting your
downline.
13. Pays residual income.
14. It is Easy to opt out.
I realize that this is a pretty long list, but if you follow it, you can avoid a lot of grief. There are some awesome stay at home jobs out there. Just be patient in your search, listen to your inner voice, and remember, anything worth having is worth working for. You will have to search to find a gold nugget in a pan of gravel, but you will definitely be happy when you do!
